Massive Worms Discovered In Back Yard
Just moments ago Isaiah Veale become a victorious hunter.
His quarry? Enormous worms found lurking in the back yard, feasting on molding leaves and burrowing in the squelchy mud produced by the sporadic deluges typical of an Oklahoma spring season.
“I was amazingly surprised to find 10-inch worms in our back yard tonight,” Isaiah said. “They were everywhere around me, little scurrying creatures. Hundreds of them – maybe millions!”
Isaiah left the house at 9:30 p.m. to put away items in the shed used during the day. On his way through the yard he heard a rustling noise. Intrigued, Isaiah decided to wait to discover what lies beneath the dirt during the daytime.
“I thought I was being attacked by a band of shrews (based on the noise they made when spooked by the flashlight),” Isaiah recalled.
After tracking the mono-bods for several minutes, Isaiah returned to the house where he alerted his wife, JJ to the existence of large Night crawlers right in their own living space.
“Eww,” she said, watching the contracted, yet still 5-inch-long body undulate on a stick proudly held by her husband.
By 9:50 p.m. the excitement had worn off, all Veale’s were safely inside, far removed from soft-body invertebrate threats.
Brainstorming ideas for making money of the crop in the yard have begun. At the very least, the family won’t have need to buy worms when they go fishing.
